So I never really followed British papers much, I'm in Indiana, but a buddy of mine who's into all that Brexit stuff kept sending me links to this guy's Spectator column back around 2017 or so, said he'd tell it like it is, and I got hooked reading him on my lunch break even though half the references went over my head being American and all. Anyway I saw this morning he passed, 66, some short illness, and I don't know, it's a weird thing to feel something for a guy from Middlesbrough I never met and honestly probably disagreed with on plenty. But he made me laugh reading about a country I've never even been to. That counts for something I think. Edit: just read he ran Radio 4's Today program too, didn't know that part.
