My uncle went the same way, some illness nobody names in the obituary, and reading this just brought it all back. Never knew the man or the sport, just saw the line about him starting that 1979 All-Ireland final and it stuck with me. Sorry for his family's loss.

I was working in Singapore in 91 and 92 and my landlord had the Malaysia Cup on every weekend. Win Aung's headers were the thing he'd point at the screen for, that Burmese striker at Tyrwhitt. Sixty years old. Didn't know that till today.

Catherine O'Hara came up through Toronto sketch comedy the hard way, learned her craft at Second City alongside the greats, and never stopped being Canadian about it. That kind of foundation made all the difference. Rest well.

My mother had a poster of her from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof hanging in her bedroom for decades. Never took it down. I think she saw something in Elizabeth Taylor that gave her hope about her own life. That's a kind of immortality.
