I had a clip of Scarpantibus open in another tab when the news came through, some Italian friend sent it to me years ago and I never stopped rewatching it. Didn't understand half the words but the voice alone made me laugh every time. 93 years old, what a run.

I found Bird Therapy through a gardening forum in 2019 and read it at my kitchen table one whole afternoon. My husband asked why I was crying over a book about birds and I couldn't explain it then. The bit with the buzzards, him and Emma just standing there watching. 39. I keep coming back to that number.

I grew up on Hill Street Blues reruns. Chief Daniels was steady and human. Found out today he was also a limerick writer, marriage counselor, and peace advocate. What a full life.
