61 is no age at all. Sorry for the loss to Lauretta and Gemma and the grandchildren, thinking of them tonight.

My dad rang me about this, he still can't get over Verona winning that Scudetto in '85. Said it was the only time the little man beat the system. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.

I don't really know what to say. District 21 for over a decade and the medical marijuana campaign in 2012, that's a lot of life spent trying to change things for people he never met.

My father had a dog eared copy of Putting People First on his desk the whole time I was growing up in Cork, said it was the book that made him take development studies seriously. I read the introduction myself years later, that line about it being a formidable work program and not a slogan. Still think about it when people talk about aid like it's just numbers.

Just saw a clip of him and Trina from the family show last week, didn't think anything of it. 58 is no age at all.

was literally halfway through an old clip of him sparring with Paxman when this popped up on my phone. 93. Choose Freedom sat on my shelf for years before I actually read it properly last winter, didn't expect to feel this about a British Labour deputy leader but there it is.

90, after a short illness. That's near enough what took my uncle last year, sudden then quiet. Never really knew his music, just read tonight that he started this whole jazz rock thing in Moscow in '73 with Arsenal. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.

101 years. That's a life.

Reading about how he backed young cricketers through his foundation in later life, that says a lot about who he was beyond the statistics. A proper legacy.

Park Ridge, New Jersey raised. He never lost that. Stayed close to home, stayed humble, stayed real. That matters. RIP.

38 for Arsenal that season, he was everywhere for a few months. Terrible way to go.

That quote stopped me too, it reads just as true here.
