Naty Potira

Natália Potiraporã Martins da Conceição, known everywhere as Naty Potira, was a Brazilian flight attendant, radio and podcast host, and one of the most recognizable fan voices of Santos Futebol Clube. She died in São Paulo on 26 September 2026 at the age of 39, after nearly three years living with metastatic cervical cancer.

Football was the first language of her childhood. Her father, a Santos devotee who later died of cancer in 2024, carried her to stadiums when she was small. She told TV Tribuna's Splash! that she could not remember a time before the stands. As a teenager she chased a dream of playing professionally, training in the youth ranks of Juventus-SP and even passing a trial with Santos before money and support ran short. The playing career did not happen. The love for the Peixão never left.

Before the internet made her a household name among Santos supporters, Naty worked as a flight attendant, traveling the world while keeping one eye on matchdays. Friends pushed her to turn match commentary into videos. What began as casual clips with mates grew into a full creator career: reaction videos, dances after wins, jokes after losses, and pitchside content that felt like sitting next to the loudest, kindest fan in the section. By the mid-2020s she had more than 450,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok under @natypotira. She presented on Santos-related podcasts including SantosCast with André Vasco, appeared on Cazé TV, hosted football talk on São Paulo radio (including Samba Gol on Transcontinental FM), and joined club campaigns from Pink October awareness to Paulistão ambassador work in 2026.

Her bond with the club and with Neymar Jr. became part of her public story during illness. Diagnosed with cervical cancer in September 2023, she shared the news carefully and celebrated an apparent remission in March 2024, only to face metastasis that returned treatment to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Tumors in the neck and uterus were cleared more than once. Later the disease advanced into the abdomen. Even then she kept showing up for Santos when she could. In May 2026, already back in treatment, she met Neymar after a warm-up at Neo Química Arena; he walked over, hugged her, and handed her a signed Santos shirt with a personal dedication. On 30 August, after Santos beat Corinthians 1-0, Neymar filmed a dressing-room message: the victory was for her. In her final hospital days he sent another clip of encouragement that her partner, Santos content head Guilherme Kastner, later described to g1.

Naty was admitted for about a month at Hospital Leforte in São Paulo. She was sedated for comfort from around 20 September 2026 and died on the afternoon of the 26th. Santos FC and her own channels announced the news together. The club called her an eternal supporter whose charisma lit up Vila Belmiro and who had stood with Outubro Rosa campaigns. Neymar posted simply that she should rest in peace and cheer for them from above. On 28 September friends, family, organized supporters, and the Sereias da Vila women's side gathered for a public wake at the Torcida Jovem headquarters in São Paulo's east zone before cremation at Crematório Vila Alpina.

What remains is not only the illness narrative she never wanted to dominate her feed, but the tone she chose instead: humor, loyalty, and a refusal to let hard days erase joy. She turned a childhood carried into the stands into a career that made hundreds of thousands of strangers feel less alone on matchday. For Santos fans, Naty Potira is remembered as one of their own who made the Peixão louder, warmer, and more human.
