found the TV Theatre recording of Mianujom mie Hanka on youtube last winter, half by accident, no subtitles at first so I just watched the woman's face. looked it up after and learned his own father was taken into the Wehrmacht and never came home. sat with my grandmother the second time I watched it, she doesn't speak a word of Polish either but she cried anyway. that's a kind of storytelling that doesn't need translation. rest well, sir

My grandmother was from Funtua and she always said Senator Mandiya listened when she wrote. He brought a health clinic closer to her village. I'm grateful he was there for her, and for us.
