I only knew the name from a footnote in a piece on rural infrastructure in South Asia, something about the LGED building roads village by village, and then there he was in my feed, chief engineer of the whole department before he ever ran for anything. Two terms for Gaibandha-4, which I had to look up on a map. Heart attack at 78. Funny how you fall down a Wikipedia hole at midnight and come out the other side feeling like you lost something, even though I never set foot in Bangladesh. Edit: some reports say 80, not 78, nobody seems sure.
