My mom found clips of Silver Threads online years ago and played them while we ate, she said his voice just sounded like someone who meant it even though neither of us speaks Russian. Read he was 66. Strange to feel something for a stranger's voice like that.

Only came across his name researching Northeast Indian state politics a year ago for a project. Didn't know much about Nagaland's legislature before that. Reading now that he was Speaker there, presiding over the Assembly. Strange to feel something for someone you never knew existed until recently.

Grew up watching Krovim Krovim with my Israeli cousins every time we visited. Ilan was always the funniest person in the room but you could tell he was serious about the work. Such a long career. Rest easy.

Never saw him play live but my dad had all the Liverpool tapes from the 70s. He'd put them on and just shake his head at how hard Keegan worked. Dad's gone now too, but that's what I remember about their conversations.
