ok this popped up on my feed from some family friend who shared it and I don't know why I kept reading but I did, all the way through. 72 years married, that's not even a real number to me, like that's longer than most tv shows have been running combined. I was trying to picture Candler, North Carolina, never been, probably small, the kind of place where a piano bench courtship actually happens and isn't a meet cute someone made up for a script. anyway she was 92. I don't have anything smart to say about that, it's just a lot of years to live in one place and love one person the whole time. editing to add, I looked up Candler and it's near Asheville, that's it, that's all I got

Never knew her, just saw this pop up on a local page. Fifty two years married before she lost Randy in 2018, that's the part that got me.

My German professor showed us clips of East German football in a history class about divided nations. Eberhard was everywhere. The way he moved on that left wing was like nothing I'd seen before. Really sad to hear he's gone.
