My dad called me this morning just to tell me Bo Johansson died. He doesn't even really follow soccer anymore but he remembered watching that Denmark team with me in 98, said it was the only World Cup we ever watched together start to finish.

Just read a piece on her last night, the asylum story, 1989, and now this. 82. Didn't expect it to hit me, never even knew her name a week ago.

Never really followed opera but my husband's family is German and they played a clip of his Germont at a dinner once, said he was the one everyone in Stuttgart knew. 64 is no age at all.

She made you see Norman Rockwell all over again. Not the postcard version. The real painter underneath. That matters.

Just heard the news. He was a good man by all accounts, served his community in Agia Varvara too. Condolences to his wife and daughter.

My dad had every Phillies season ticket in the '70s and early '80s. He used to say Larry was the kind of player you wanted your kids to know about, not just for the wins but for how he treated people. That stays with you.

New York lost one of its own today. Michael Wright carried that city in him wherever he went and he made us all better for it.
For Connie Francis · 12 Aug 2025
My mother had all her records. Played them while cooking Sunday dinner. I grew up hearing Connie Francis in our kitchen in San Antonio. That voice was family.

Leo Bloom will always be my favorite nervous character. He made anxiety funny without making fun of it.
