Just saw a clip about the 1998 hostage rescue in Bangkok pop up on my feed last week, had no idea who he was until today. 80 years old. Strange to read about someone's whole life right after you first learn their name.

My dad played the UGA golf course all through the 90s and always talked about how good the greens were, said the superintendent really knew his turf. Grew up hearing that name at the dinner table. My mom called me this morning to tell me he'd passed and I didn't even know his first name until then. 75 years old. Sending love to his family.
