My dad called me about this, said he saw it on the news before I even opened my phone. Didn't know much about him before but 100 years old and still showing up to award ceremonies says something. Hope Germany's parks remember what he did for them.

saw a short documentary on Aboriginal community organizing back in a college class, must've been 2015 or so, and the professor stopped on Yumba-Meta like it mattered more than anything else in the reel. never forgot that name. 93 years old, that's a full life lived doing something real
