My son trained under Sensei Nakanishi at Tokai for three years. He always said the coach's real gift was making you believe technique mattered more than strength. He was right about that.

I read that he said 'I love beauty, it's not my fault.' There's something honest in that. He wasn't apologizing for wanting lovely things. The world needed more of that.
