For Bob "Hoolihan" Wells · 3d ago

93 years old, that's a full run by any measure. Sunshine to you, no matter what the weather, he used to say, and he meant it. Thinking of Teri, Rob and Tricia tonight.

For Carlyto Lassa · 24d ago

Saw a clip on some late night arts show years back, never forgot the voice. "His voice has fallen silent, but his work remains in our collective memory." That's about it, that's the whole thing right there.

For Claude Bachand · 27d ago

Huh. Just read this on a Canadian news feed I follow for something else entirely. Didn't know the name but the line about never missing a spaghetti supper made me smile, that's a rare thing in politics anywhere.

For Davion Fewell · 16 Sept 2026

I ran the PA booth at Marion Kirby for one JV game this year, filling in for a friend. Fewell kept looking up at the booth every time he scored, like he wanted to make sure I said his name right. I did. Wish I'd known it would matter this much.

For Yves Brunier · 7 Sept 2026

They say he was shy without the monster suit. Funny how the shy guy gave France its gentlest giant.

For Billy Smith · 22 Aug 2026

Watched Billy Smith run the Dragons halfback line on a fuzzy Florida TV in '66. Best general the game ever saw. Rest easy, little bloke.

For Dash Crofts · 7 Apr 2026

Summer Breeze was on the radio in every beach bar in Florida for about five years straight. You couldn't escape it, which I suppose was the point. Dash Crofts just died, and I realized I never once got tired of hearing it.

those stones look like they grew that way, hard to believe someone shaped them

same, had never heard of her until this week and now I'm sad I didn't know sooner

he coached at Danville and Waubonsie Valley for years, proper career, not the football one at all
