My mom called me about this at like 6am her time, said the guy who played Sandro died. I didn't grow up on the telenovelas but Sandro de America was the thing that got my abuela watching TV again in 2018. 82 years old, more than six decades working. That's a career.

My mom called to tell me, said half our living room growing up came from Seaman's. 94 years old and still basically ran two different furniture empires back to back, that's the part that gets me more than anything.

my dad just called me out of nowhere to tell me the Iberia guy died, like I even know who that is, but he kept saying "this man saved the airline" over and over so it must have mattered. 82. never flew Iberia once in my life but ok dad

Founded a magazine that hit a million copies on day one and then just kept going. Not bad for someone who started chasing stories in 1962. The man knew how to build something people wanted.
