My mum forwarded me a clip of him at some festival in Germany, subtitled, saying writing was his first great love. She'd never heard of him before that either, just got sent it by a friend and then couldn't stop talking about it. Funny how a stranger's sentence can do that to a person.

98 and still had more energy than people half her age. Never retired, never phoned it in. They don't make them like this anymore.
