Only found his Jedermann a few years ago, a grainy upload of the Domplatz staging with Brandauer, and I watched it twice in one night not understanding half the German. Didn't know his name until today's news, just knew the production had stayed with me since. 85 years, eighteen summers on that square. Sending this from Lisbon, late to it but grateful.
