found a used copy of The Intellectuals on the Road to Class Power at a estate sale years back, cheap, cover falling off. read it twice. the whole idea that the people running the ideas could end up running everything, never left me, still think about it when im reading the news some mornings. anyway he got kicked out of his own country for writing it, 1975 i think. 88 years old. that's a long life after being told to leave. edit: just looked it up, he ended up at Yale eventually. not bad for an exile
