Angus B. Llewellyn

Angus B. Llewellyn was a South Carolina native who spent 27 years as a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent after earlier service as a United States Air Force captain during the Vietnam War. He died on 15 September 2026 in Charleston, South Carolina, at the age of 81.

He was born on 10 June 1945 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, the son of Edward G. Collins and Lorea Collins. His early adult years were shaped by military service: he was commissioned as a captain in the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Air Force he attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, earned his law degree, and passed the bar.

He then joined the FBI, where his family's obituary says he served with distinction for 27 years. Specific assignments and field offices were not made public in the notice. Llewellyn was predeceased by his wife, Martha McGuire, and by his parents.
