Anita Luvon Livingston, known to her family and friends as a devoted homemaker, died in Sarasota, Florida, on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born Anita Luvon Harrison in Currituck, North Carolina, on December 2, 1954, to Jessie Willard Harrison and Dorthy Louise Forbes Harrison.

Unlike many people covered on this site, Livingston was not a public figure with a career in entertainment, politics, business or the arts. No Wikipedia page or substantial media biography exists for her, and the available record of her life comes from the funeral notice published by Twiford Funeral Homes of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and syndicated on Legacy.com. According to that notice, she spent her life centered on her family, and was remembered as a homemaker who gave her time and care to the people closest to her.

Livingston was predeceased by her husband, Richard Marty Livingston, and by her parents and a sister, Lois Williamson. She is survived by her former husband, Bob Sullivan, described in her obituary as her best friend, as well as by a son, Robert William Sullivan Jr., stepdaughters Jennifer Sullivan and Melissa Boppel, and a brother, Jessie Willard Harrison Jr.

Her death was first made public through the obituary issued by Twiford Funeral Homes on October 18, 2026, five days after she died. No cause of death has been disclosed in that notice or in any other source found to date, and nothing further about the circumstances of her death has been reported.

Because Livingston lived a private life away from public attention, there is no record of professional achievements, awards, controversies or media appearances to report. This page reflects only what has been documented in her published obituary and will be updated if further verified information becomes available.

My mum called me about this, she grew up near Currituck same as the Harrisons. Said Anita was just quietly good to everyone, raised her kids and that was her whole world. Thinking of Bob and the family tonight.

That's exactly how my aunt described her too, steady and kind.
