Apryl McIntosh-Smith was a Jamaican music business executive, the founder and creative executive officer of Niche Entertainment Group and the manager of the Rastafarian reggae singer Ras-I. She also served as director of education of the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA), where she worked to build the business skills of people in the island's music industry.

She founded Niche Entertainment Group in January 2013 as a boutique full service events and artiste management company. Under her leadership it offered event planning and production, stage, light and sound, branding, public relations and marketing, studio services, and artiste bookings, management and development. In 2026 it was one of eight women-led music businesses chosen for the Caribbean delegation to WOMEX, the world music expo.

Her best known work was with Ras-I, whom she managed through the release of his album Heart of Love. In 2025 his song Somewhere Wonderful was chosen as the soundtrack of the Jamaica Tourist Board's Easter campaign, which she described as showing what was possible when intentional creativity met strategic collaboration. In a May 2026 interview with The Gleaner she called him the one artiste she had ever truly wanted to work with and said she could already see Grammy recognition in his future.

At JaRIA she chaired the Education Committee and sat on the Awards Committee and the Constitution Advocacy Lobbying and Membership committee. JaRIA chairman Ewan Simpson remembered her as an all-rounder, as comfortable in artiste development and production as in management and representation, and as someone the association could always call on to build bridges across the industry.

She died suddenly on Saturday, 24 October 2026, in Gran Canaria, Spain, while representing Jamaica at the Caribbean Women in Music Market Access Programme at WOMEX 2026. Her cause of death has not been made public. Simpson said she had told him the night before that she had just left hospital after a reaction to mould in a previous hotel room. Ras-I paid tribute to her as a mother, a protector and a big sister in one, and artistes including Mortimer, Lila Ike, Kabaka Pyramid and Romain Virgo shared their grief. She was survived by her two young daughters.

Biography adapted from The Gleaner (Yasmine Peru, 26 October 2026), Jamaica Observer (26 October 2026 and 11 April 2025) and Niche Entertainment Group.
