Audrey Ann Feddema was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother from central Minnesota whose life centered on Catholic faith, family and quiet service in Gilman and St. Cloud. Born Audrey Ann Zawacki on 3 April 1936 in Gilman, Minnesota, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Kuffel) Zawacki. She was baptized days after her birth by Fr. V.J. Wotzka and later confirmed at Saints Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Gilman. She grew up in Jakeville, attended grade school at St. Adalbert's in Gilman, and graduated from Foley High School before beginning adult life in the same parish community that had marked her childhood sacraments.
On 3 September 1956 she married Dennis Feddema at Saints Peter and Paul in Gilman. The couple shared thirty-two years of marriage and raised two sons and four daughters, first in Gilman, where Audrey worked at Gilman Bank, and later around St. Cloud, where she worked at Bremer Bank. She cherished years as a stay-at-home mother and prayed daily for her family. Friends remembered a loving, gentle woman happiest among children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She belonged to Holy Spirit Christian Women, St. Stephen's Mission Group, the St. Cloud Chamber Greeters and other civic groups, and enjoyed oil painting, sewing, puzzles, piano, cards, motor-home camping, and winters in Palm Springs and Florida with people she loved.
Dennis Feddema died on 24 December 1988. In 2004 Audrey married Harvey Woods at Holy Spirit Church; they shared eighteen years of travel and companionship until his death on 11 October 2022. She was predeceased by her parents, both husbands, and several siblings, including infants William and Patricia. She is survived by children Cindy (Don) Kunkel, Tim (Shelley) Feddema, Julie (Greg) Zniewski, Jeff (Cari) Feddema, Sue Feldhege and Kathy (Terry) Ergen, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and Woods stepchildren who remained part of her wide circle.
Audrey died peacefully on 16 September 2026 at St. Cloud Hospital with family at her side. She was 90. Mass of Christian Burial was set for 23 September 2026 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud, with entombment at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials were preferred to the Center for Life Transitions or CentraCare Foundation Heart and Vascular Department, reflecting the care she received and the parish life she never left behind.
