Comfort Williams was a Nigerian beauty queen and pageant executive from Taraba State. She was crowned the 10th Miss Taraba in 2023 and at the time of her death was Assistant Managing Director of Prime Planet Event Managers, the company that organises the Mr and Miss Taraba pageants.
The Miss Taraba title is one of Nigeria's state level beauty contests, in which the winner serves as an ambassador and takes on charitable and community projects during and after her reign. Williams used the platform for humanitarian work. Leadership newspaper reported that one of her recent projects involved printing and distributing educational books to students in support of Taraba State's free education policy. In October 2024 she joined other Taraba pageant winners on a visit to Senator Manu Haruna at the National Assembly in Abuja.
Rather than stepping away from pageantry after her reign, she moved into running it. In January 2026 Prime Planet Event Managers announced a new seven member leadership team, known as Team 7, with Tabitha Adda as Managing Director, Williams as Assistant Managing Director and Leah Lot Mangbon as Head of Contestants. In that role she helped to organise the contests through which younger women from the state compete for the title she once held.
Williams died on Monday 2 November 2026. Prime Planet announced her death the same day in a condolence statement shared on Facebook by its chief executive, Disebe Donga, describing her as a beloved former queen and an irreplaceable member of the organisation. The statement said the loss had left the company deeply devastated and that she was not just a member of the organisation but an important part of the Prime Planet family. The circumstances of her death were not disclosed. Some reports attributed it to a brief illness, but this was not confirmed.
Her death was reported by Punch, Leadership, Sahara Reporters, Naija News and Chronicle NG, and colleagues and friends in Taraba's creative industry mourned her on social media as a significant loss to the state's pageantry and entertainment community.
