Heath Ledger's performances in Brokeback Mountain and as the Joker in The Dark Knight showed a rare and fearless talent. He died at 28 and was awarded a posthumous Academy Award.

My grandmother loved Heath. When she died we played their work at the funeral. Now they're both gone. Strange how connected it all is.
