Someone posted the clip of him saying he was alive, that the bleeding had stopped, but part of his skull was gone and all he could do was rest. I don't understand Ukrainian but I watched it twice with the subtitles on. 32.

Oleksandr Venedchuk, known across Ukraine by the stage name Venya (Веня), was a comedian and television performer whose quick timing and warm stage presence helped define a generation of League of Laughter viewers. He died suddenly on 13 October 2026 at the age of 32. The news was confirmed the same day by his former comedy collective Veterans of the Space Forces (Ветерани космічних військ), who posted a farewell note on Instagram and said details of a public goodbye would follow once arrangements were known. No official cause of death has been made public.
Venedchuk was born on 2 April 1994 in Kyiv. He came up through student and regional comedy circles before finding a lasting stage family with Vlad Kuran and Artem Damnytskyi. On 18 February 2017 the three friends appeared as Veterans of the Space Forces at the Chernihiv KVN league, choosing a deliberately absurd name that matched their taste for surreal sketches and sharp improvisation. Within a year the group reached League of Laughter (Ліга сміху), the national stand-up and sketch competition that launched many of Ukraine's best-known comic acts.
Their breakthrough arrived in the show's fifth series in 2019. Coached by actor Stanislav Boklan, Veterans of the Space Forces won the season and became a fixture of Ukrainian television comedy. Venya was often the face of the trio: charismatic, reactive, and comfortable turning a room's energy into a punchline. Off the League stage the group built a large YouTube audience with formats such as Elias (Еліас), Quiz (Вікторина), Evening Show (Вечірня передача), and Music Show. The channel mixed improvisation, guest battles, and regular charity fundraising for Ukraine's armed forces, keeping the team's humour close to the daily life of its audience.
Beyond comedy, Venedchuk became a media ambassador for FC Dynamo Kyiv, appearing in club content and remaining publicly attached to the white-and-blues. The club later remembered him as an ambassador and close friend who stayed with Dynamo to the end.
His public story changed abruptly on 31 January 2025. During filming of an Elias episode he suffered a brain haemorrhage that brought seizures and loss of consciousness. He was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. In the weeks that followed he told followers that part of his skull had been removed, that filming was paused for rehabilitation, and that he was grateful simply to be writing again with his own hands. By March he was cautiously returning to camera work. On 21 June 2025 he walked back onto a major stage at Palace Ukraine with VKV, marking five months of recovery. In September 2025 he announced another head operation and joked that about 35 percent of his head was now a titanium alloy, adding that life and treatment continued.
On 20 December 2025 he announced that he was leaving Veterans of the Space Forces. He insisted there had been no conflict and that the choice was his alone, and he thanked the team for years of shared work. He then focused on solo streaming on Twitch under the handle ven4oss, talking daily with viewers in a Just Chatting style, and on his own YouTube projects. In June 2026 he married his long-term partner Karina after roughly eight years together, sharing the news with wedding-ring photographs that delighted fans who had followed the couple quietly for years.
When Veterans of the Space Forces announced his death on 13 October 2026, the statement began with the team's usual warmth before turning to grief: friends were used to light humorous posts, it said, but that day they had to report that Oleksandr "Venya" Venedchuk had died. Farewell details were promised later. Ukrainian media noted his 2025 medical history without confirming a link. FC Dynamo Kyiv issued a tribute calling him sincere, bright, and full of energy and love of life, and offering deepest condolences to his family.
Colleagues and fans answered online with shock and affection. For many, Venya stood for a particular Ukrainian comedy of the late 2010s and early 2020s: absurd, generous, and stubbornly alive even after illness. He is remembered as a League of Laughter champion, a YouTube improviser, a Dynamo ambassador, a streamer who kept talking to his audience after leaving the trio, and a newlywed whose marriage in 2026 closed a long private chapter with public joy. He is survived by his wife, Karina.
