Robert Redford starred in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting and All the President's Men, won a directing Oscar for Ordinary People, and founded the Sundance Institute and Film Festival, which reshaped independent cinema. He died at his Utah home at 89.

My grandmother loved Robert. When she died we played their work at the funeral. Now they're both gone. Strange how connected it all is.
