Ruth Bader Ginsburg argued landmark sex-discrimination cases before the Supreme Court and then sat on it for 27 years, becoming a cultural icon known as the Notorious RBG. She died of pancreatic cancer at 87.

My dad introduced me to Ruth's work when I was a kid. We talked about it for hours. Today I'm thinking of both of them.

My grandmother loved Ruth. When she died we played their work at the funeral. Now they're both gone. Strange how connected it all is.
