Sean Connery was the first James Bond and, for many, the definitive one. He won an Oscar for The Untouchables and starred in The Name of the Rose, Highlander and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He died at 90.

My grandmother loved Sean. When she died we played their work at the funeral. Now they're both gone. Strange how connected it all is.
