Shanteria "Tia" Mosley, known to family and friends as "KT," was a 26-year-old mother from the Atlanta area who worked as a DoorDash delivery driver. She was not a public figure before her death; she became known nationally only through the circumstances of how she died and the desperate, ultimately successful search her family carried out to find her.
On the morning of September 23, 2026, Mosley left home to make deliveries for DoorDash. When relatives could not reach her by phone later that afternoon, they grew alarmed and began tracking her phone's location themselves rather than waiting on police alone. Her aunt, Michelle Weaver, and other family members traced the signal to the Park Valley Apartments in Smyrna, Georgia, a suburb northeast of Atlanta, where they found Mosley's car. While searching the grounds and knocking on doors, family members came face to face with the man who would later be charged in her death.
What the family discovered was, in the words of a Smyrna police spokesperson, a "particularly gruesome crime." Mosley's dismembered remains were located at the apartment complex, with her torso recovered first inside a container. Days later, following a search warrant on a vehicle, additional remains believed to be hers were found packed into garbage bags in a car trunk. Police said they believed she was killed sometime between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on September 23.
An 18-year-old man who lived at the same apartment complex, Kingston Lammar Bradley, was arrested in connection with the case. He was initially charged with concealing the death of another after Mosley's torso was found, and that charge was upgraded to malice murder once the additional remains were recovered. Investigators said they were still working to determine how Mosley and Bradley knew each other and why she had gone to the apartment complex that day; one theory reported by investigators was that she may have been in the area on a delivery, though DoorDash records reportedly did not show an active order tying her there.
Mosley's death drew an outpouring of grief and shock from her community. On the Saturday after her body was identified, dozens of loved ones gathered at a candlelight vigil, releasing balloons in her memory and remembering her as a devoted mother, sister and friend. Her mother spoke at the vigil about the trauma of the search and discovery, describing the profound and lasting toll the ordeal had taken on her. As of this writing, funeral arrangements had not yet been publicly announced, and the investigation into the full circumstances of her killing was continuing.
