Tipchalit Phromchana, known to Thai audiences by his nickname Tee, or "Tee AF6", was a Thai singer, drummer and stage actor who finished third in the sixth season of the reality singing competition True Academy Fantasia in 2009. He later left the entertainment industry to train as a commercial airline pilot.
He was born on 18 December 1983 in Chiang Mai province and graduated from Chiang Mai University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in marketing. Music ran in the family: his mother played the piano at home and his grandfather encouraged him to follow her. His father, who ran a clothing export business, hoped he would join the firm, and Tipchalit asked to pursue music first and help with the business later.
In 2009 he entered True Academy Fantasia, one of Thailand's most watched reality shows, and was chosen as one of the twelve finalists, competing under the code V5. He became a fan favourite, reached the final four and finished as second runner up, behind the season's winner, Zani Nipaporn. After the show he sang "Tham Mai Ao Kham Top" on Debutants AF6 The Album and played drums in a band formed with three fellow contestants from the season.
He then built a career in musical theatre. Between 2012 and 2015 he appeared in a string of Bangkok stage productions, including Siam Miss Chan The Musical, Ther Thao Nan Suntharaporn The Musical, Eurydice, in which he played Orpheus, Ghost Story and Wai Run Virus Wai Love. He also acted in the Thai PBS television drama Phra Athit Khuen Raem.
Later he changed course entirely and became an airline pilot. Sanook reported that he was working for Thai Airways at the time of his death. Tipchalit died on 25 October 2026 in China, aged 42, while travelling to Beijing with his family. Thai media reported that he lost consciousness during the trip and died later in hospital; a relative said he had fallen. No official cause of death was released. Fellow contestants and the show's teachers paid tribute, and his family arranged to bring his body home for funeral rites in Thailand.
