I read about Hengan for the first time in a business magazine back in the nineties, the story of how a small sanitary napkin outfit started in 1985 grew into the biggest name in Chinese hygiene products. My uncle sold paper goods here in Valencia and used to point to it as proof of what patient reinvestment could do. Saw the news on my phone this morning over coffee, 76 is no age at all.

Ninety years old, and still that voice on Cuéntame every Sunday rerun. I always think of Padre Froilán calming down the whole street. My condolences to his family, whoever's left behind to grieve him. Descanse en paz, Antonio.
