I only learned about Dr. Anderson this year when my grandpa mentioned him during a documentary about the Albany Movement. The fact that he was a surgeon AND a civil rights leader AND fought to get Black students into medicine, all while raising five kids, is honestly mind-blowing. 98 years of that kind of work.
