My mom called me about this, she knew I'd want to hear it straight away since I'm the one over here. First thing I thought of was that Isle of Dogs score, the drumming under everything. I don't know Japan well but his music made me feel like I did, just for the length of a film.

I read that he made documentaries about soldiers coming home with invisible wounds. That's the mark of someone who understood what matters. A good heart, gone too soon.
