so I never met the guy, saw an article about the Santovka mall a few years back when I was reading about mixed use developments for a class project, kept the tab open forever honestly, anyway that line he had about building things that outlive you, that stuck with me more than it probably should have for someone I never met, I think about it when I'm out working in the garden actually, planting stuff I won't see grow all the way, weird thing to think about a Czech real estate guy but there it is. 56 is nothing. edit: he was 56, not sure why I said that like it needed saying twice

My grandfather watched Rome 1960 on a neighbour's TV and said it was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen a human body do. He kept that memory his whole life.
