I found out about Direk Monti through a film studies class and watched Survivor Philippines with my dad last year. The way he worked on set seemed to matter. Really sad to hear he's gone.

My grandfather watched Rome 1960 on a neighbour's TV and said it was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen a human body do. He kept that memory his whole life.
