39. My brother in law went the same way, sudden, no warning, everyone said he looked fine the week before. Reading this on the news tonight knocked the wind out of me. Two little girls left without their dad. Sending love to Laura.

Showed my dad a clip of this guy on youtube once, some old interview, and he just shook his head and said "that's a real one, not like the TV gangsters." didn't mean much to me till today when I saw he died at 94.

My uncle went the same way, long illness, slow. Watched Innsbruck highlights once on some documentary channel and there he was jumping. Never even knew who he was until today, 72 is nothing.

Saw this in the Inquirer today. "A devoted father, grandfather and friend, remembered by those who loved him." That says it all really. RIP Bill.

Lost my uncle a few months back and this one still got me. Used to watch Space: 1999 with him every Saturday, he loved that Eagle Transporter.

My uncle lived in Quirino when Dax was governor the first time. He always said the man cared about getting things done, not just talking about them.

My daughter watched Casimir on our old set, and now she's teaching her own kids the gloubi-boulga song. That's sixty years of one man's hands and voice. Rest easy, Yves.
