Just read about Barry Cleavin. Never met him, but I picked up one of his prints at a market in Auckland maybe fifteen years ago, couldn't believe the price. Hung it in my apartment ever since. Taught me something about what art could be, just by existing on my wall where I could afford it. Rest well.

Saw him talk about Serving the People at a panel in 2019 and it stuck with me. The way he thought about making space for other artists instead of just climbing. That matters.
