76. Used to sit on the workbench in his garage while he tinkered under some old hood, telling me and my cousins to stay back from the sparks. Didn't know him well but that garage smell still gets me.

Watched Dawson's Creek with my mum when I was little. He seemed like someone who actually cared about doing good work, and then finding out he was going through all that and still showing up for his family. Really moved me.
