My dad rang me in Singapore this morning just to tell me. Growing up he had Money Box on every Saturday without fail, said she was the reason he ever understood a mortgage. Mad to think she started that programme back in 1977.

82 is no age when you think what the body goes through on that line for ten years. My dad was a rugby prop and ended up with dementia at the end, so reading that Niland's family are donating his brain to the CTE study hit harder than I expected. My dad rang me from Kent to tell me, he'd seen it on the news ticker about Thailand. Been out here eight years and Kongsak's name is one of the first I learned reading up on the 2006 coup history. Strange hearing it secondhand down a crackly line from home.
