My dad found a clip of him playing behind M.S. Subbulakshmi at Carnegie Hall years ago and just kept replaying it, said he'd never heard hands move like that. Called me this morning to tell me he was gone, 91 years old. I don't know the first thing about Carnatic music but I know my dad's face when something matters to him.
