Anouk Deschamps was a young French content creator from Revin, in the Ardennes, who became known on Instagram and TikTok under the name lesbeauxdetours for sharing, openly and with humour, her life with a rare and aggressive cancer. She died in the night of 22 to 23 October 2026, aged 21, shortly before her 22nd birthday.
Her family described her as radiant, ambitious, loving, warm and talented. She had wanted to become a doctor. In September 2025, after several examinations and an operation to remove a mass in her neck, she was told she had cancer. It was identified as a CIC-DUX4 sarcoma, a rare soft tissue tumour that mainly affects young adults and tends to spread quickly, particularly to the lungs.
She explained in June 2026 why she had opened her Instagram account: to share more of her life and to show that life does not stop with a cancer diagnosis. Over the following months she described two courses of chemotherapy that did not work as hoped, then radiotherapy, after which around fifteen small nodules appeared in less than three months and she was told her cancer was incurable. Treatment then aimed to keep the metastases from growing too fast. Her posts reached more than 17,000 followers on Instagram and over 50,000 on TikTok, and some of her videos were viewed millions of times. Her last post, on 16 October, announced that she was about to begin 324 hours of chemotherapy.
Her family announced her death on her accounts on 24 October 2026, writing that, surrounded by family and friends to the end, she had left calmly, without suffering and at peace. They said she had always stayed positive, determined to find what would cure her, and had kept her smile and joy of living through the treatments and their side effects. Le Parisien, L'Ardennais, actu.fr and outlets in Switzerland and Spain reported her death.
Her funeral was arranged for 29 October 2026 at the church of Notre Dame in Revin. In her memory the family asked for donations to Ensemble contre le Sarcome, a cause she cared about deeply, saying that the fight against the disease must go on and that supporting research was essential.
