Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi led India's struggle for independence from British rule through mass non-violent civil disobedience. His methods inspired civil rights movements around the world. He was assassinated in Delhi in January 1948, months after independence.

Gratitude

My grandmother loved Mohandas. When she died we played their work at the funeral. Now they're both gone. Strange how connected it all is.

My dad introduced me to Mohandas's work when I was a kid. We talked about it for hours. Today I'm thinking of both of them.
