my mum text me a screenshot of this obituary out of nowhere, said she'd never met the man but grew up near Bridger and everyone knew the Englerts. the line about raising sheep "somewhat less enthusiastically" got me, never heard of him before today but that's a good line to leave behind. sounds like a solid bloke

My dad used to play Crying in the car on long drives up the coast, singing along badly in the front seat. Didn't know until years later that Joe Melson wrote that one with Roy. 91 years old, still writing until Father's Day. That's a life.
