94 years old. My uncle was the same age when we lost him this spring, different country, different life, but reading this this morning hit harder than I expected. Didn't know his poetry at all, just saw the headline and sat with it a minute.

I don't really know what to say about this one. Saw the story come up on my feed this morning and it just stopped me. A heart of gold, that's what her family called her. 33 years old. I'm not from Lincolnshire, never heard of Hogsthorpe before today, but this one's sticking with me.

ok so this is one of those names you dont expect to see in the news and then it hits different, like i remember watching some doco years back with my dad where she was interviewed, cant even remember which one now, and it just stuck with me the way she talked about it, calm but you could tell it mattered so much to her. 69 isnt old these days either. anyway just wanted to say something, sorry if this is rambling. edit: it was a bbc thing i think, not sure
