Only found her paintings this year, a friend sent me a photo of one of the Jardim canvases and I went down a rabbit hole for a whole weekend. Never been to Rio, never will maybe, but I recognised something in the way she painted a garden seen through wires and rooftops. 85 years old. Wish I'd found her sooner.

I only came across his story this year, living in the UK now, when my mum sent me an article about the La Plata tornado rebuild. Read that he wrote a book about it after, After the Storm Passed By. Wish I'd known about him sooner.
