I keep thinking about January last year, when he was the one giving out numbers nobody else would confirm, around forty dead he said, careful about it, not rounding up for effect. I only know Kenscoff from news footage, the cool hills, the vegetable farms, before any of this. Funny how a place becomes a name you only hear attached to violence. He kept answering when it would have been easier not to. Sorry, rambling. Just struck by how long he held that line.

Just read a piece on the Malayalam keyboard work last week, had no idea that traced back to him. 91 years old. Gave up a nuclear physics career to go teach literacy in villages, that's not something you see twice in a lifetime.
