My mom clipped out the paper in 2015 when he was made cardinal, she kept a little file of Catholic news from countries most people couldn't find on a map. She said a 98 year old bishop who lived through a whole civil war and still talked about peace and reconciliation was the kind of story that never makes the evening news here. 98 years old. That's a whole century of history in one man.

I used to see him some mornings riding that bike past the taco place on Archer when I walked my mom to the bus stop. Never said much, just a nod. Cant believe that same street took him.
