i keep seeing this story pop up on my feed and i can't stop thinking about it, i don't even follow college football, i'm all the way in Brazil and none of this is my world but something about it just stopped me scrolling. eighteen years old. two weeks into college, that's it, two weeks, he probably hadn't even figured out where the good coffee was on campus yet. i keep coming back to that detail because it's so small and so ordinary and that's what makes it awful, he was just starting, everyone was just starting with him. i showed my mom the article and she just shook her head and didn't say anything. sorry if this is a weird thing to post from someone who never knew him or his team or even this sport, i just felt like i had to say something. edit: read that his friends said he always made people laugh, that's the part i'll remember even though i never knew him
