My cousin lived in Dunedin for a year and used to send me clips of Radio Dunedin streamed online, said this guy's voice was the whole city. Never been there myself but I listened to him through her laptop speakers more nights than I can count. 82 years old. That's a life.

This one stings more than I expected. My grandfather passed not long ago and reading about a judge who spent his whole life pushing for justice made me think of him. 82 is not that old anymore.

Read about him because of the South Padre Island mention, didn't expect to tear up over a stranger's obituary. Two marriages, thirty five years at one company, and he still talked openly about getting sober. 86 is a long life to carry that story the whole way.
