saw this this morning on my phone before work and just sat there for a minute. The Voice of Ireland series one was one of those things I'd forgotten I watched until I saw the headline and it all came back, sitting in my gran's front room over in Edinburgh with the telly on because my mum liked the coaches turning their chairs. I don't even remember who won series one now, that's the mad thing, you'd think I would. Just the sound of it, the chairs spinning round. Heard he'd died and I had to go back and check the date twice, 21st September, keep thinking about how long ago that first series actually was now. Anyway. Rest well whoever reads this and knew him better than a telly memory from a kid in Scotland.

My mum rang to tell me, she'd had Turkish films on in the background my whole childhood and his name always came up. Never knew who he was until she said it today.
