I never met him but I read once that he wanted poetry instead of violence in the streets. That stayed with me. What a loss at such a young age.

My dad had a Fontana book on the shelf for decades. I never understood it till I saw the Rome show last year. Those landscapes stopped me cold. So glad I got to see his work while he was still here.
